Connacht have been beaten by 33 points to 24 by Exeter Chiefs in Pool 2 of the European Challenge Cup.
Despite the loss, Pat Lam's side's hopes of a quarter-final spot are still alive, but dependent on a bonus point win against La Rochelle next week.
Three first half tries put Connacht in front at half-time today with 17 points to 10, but Dean Mumm and Don Armand tries put the Chiefs in control during the second half.
A second try from Matt Healy in the 75th minute ensured Connacht left the Sportsground today with a consolation bonus point despite the second half fightback from Exeter.
Connacht are currently at second place in Pool 2 of the Challenge Cup, and take on La Rochelle next Saturday.
Meanwhile in Pool 4 of the Champions Cup Glasgow have gone second with a 21-points to 10 win over Montpellier at Scotstoun.
In the Pool's other game, it was Toulouse 18 to Bath 35.
Both Pool 5 games have 5.30 starts, with leaders Northampton going to Ospreys while Racing Metro face Treviso.
