Tyler Bleyendaal is finally set to link up with the rest of the Munster squad this weekend as he continues his recovery from the serious neck injury he suffered shortly before he was set to leave New Zealand to join the province.

The ex-New Zealand U20 captain will be assessed by Munster's medical team when he arrives, having undergone surgery on a prolapsed disc in his neck last September.

The 24-year-old has represented Crusaders in the Super Rugby championship and Canterbury at provincial level.
