Denis Hickie reckons Leinster have the "momentum" to emerge victorious from tomorrow's Champions Cup trip to Wasps (1PM).
"It couldn’t come at a better time," the former Blues and Ireland winger told Ivan Yates on Newstalk's Breakfast. "Leinster have more momentum than [Wasps], they're buoyed by the performance they put in last week, albeit against a very weak Castres side.
"I think it'll be a fantastic game. [Leinster] will just about edge it"
The clash in Coventry is the Blues' final pool game and a victory will make them the only Irish side to reach the quarter-finals.
Hickie doesn't expect change in Matt O'Connor's XV, although he suggested, "Dominic Ryan will be close enough but he's probably a little bit behind Jordi Murphy."
When Ivan put it to him that centre partnership of Ian Madigan and Luke Fitzgerald were playing out of position, the former Lion said: "I'm not sure the're out of position any more ... that's a very comfortable combination.”
And although Hickie reckons the move to Coventry has “energised” Wasps, he's positive his former can make the last eight.
