Kevin Doyle sent Martin O'Neill a reminder of his abilities last night with a stunning header in America. 

The Colorado Rapids striker scored the opening goal in their game against Real Salt Lake, but the Denver based side lost 2-1. Fellow Irish international Sean St Ledger crossed the ball for the Wexford native to score the goal.

Doyle has now scored five goals for the Rapids since joining the side earlier this summer after his transfer from Wolves. 

The goal will come as a welcome boost to Martin O'Neill ahead of the international games with Germany and Poland. The squad are to begin preparations in Dublin later today.
