The term “Chairman” is outdated and sexist, and therefore must be 'consigned to the history books' in favour of the gender neutral term “chair”. So demanded a coalition of business in the UK, led by the British Chambers of Commerce, earlier today. But is abandoning the word Chairman really progress?
