The Teachers Union of Ireland is looking for an early Christmas holidays to “boost morale” after what they call an “unprecedentedly difficult and draining [few months] for school communities”. The TUI also says an early end to term would give staff and students more time to restrict their movements before meeting vulnerable relatives over the festive season.  To discuss we heard from Michael Gillespie, TUI General Secretary.
