Details of a draft cabinet memo on the proposed Mica Redress scheme published in the weekend papers indicate that residents could be offered a full 100% grant for all remediation works capped at €420,000. Independent Donegal County Councillor Frank Mc Brearty and his father, Frank McBrearty Sr, are worried that their houses, which cost about €1 million each, will not qualify for the government’s new scheme and Frank Mc Brearty Jnr spoke to us this morning on the show about their concerns.
