On this week's 'Between the Lines' programme, Andrea is joined by a number of experts to discuss how Covid-19 has developed from when it was first detected in China last year to its rapid spread across Europe and further afield.

Together they discuss, among other things, what Covid-19 is, how it emerged, how it is so effectively transmitted from person to person as it devastates communities in countries across the world, and look at how the virus has developed here in Ireland over the past number of weeks as well.

  • Professor Kingston Mills of the school of Biochemistry and Immunology at TCD
  • Dr. Gabriel Fitzpatrick, Medical Epidemiologist and Medical Director of Trinity Clinics
  • Paddy Agnew, Rome-based Journalist
  • Susan Mitchell, Health Editor with the Business Post
