A woman who was struck by a van in Dublin just over a week ago has died in hospital.

It happened at the junction of Cambridge Road and Thorncastle Street in Ringsend on the morning of Wednesday, March 20th.

The woman, aged in her 50s, was rushed to St Vincent’s University Hospital when she underwent treatment for critical injuries.

This morning, Gardaí confirmed she has since died in hospital.

Investigators are now renewing their appeal for witnesses.

Gardaí are particularly interested in talking to anyone who was in the area between 7:45am and 8:15am on March 20th and may have camera footage.
