George was once again riled by the issue of head injuries in rugby again on the Right Hook today, and he began the show by responding to Ireland coach, Joe Schmidt's remarks that he doesn't appreciate comments from external people in the media.  George wants medics to discuss players' injuries in the media, not coaches.

He was joined by Allyson Pollock, Professor of public health research and policy at Queen Mary, University of London, who reckons parents would be up in arms if children came back from a hill walk as injured as they do from playing rugby.

She is also adamant that the rugby unions have known for a long time about the risks.. and the risks for children, and done nothing

Dr. Eugene Wallace, Consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine in St. James’s Hospital and the National Rehabilitation Hospital also had his say, insisting that the junior game needs to be different to the senior game.
