A young boy who asked for a rattlesnake for Christmas seemed to regret his wish when his mom and dad presented him with a box they claimed contained the reptile.

Young Brooks Carroll's face changed instantly as he was told he was inches away from the snake and it wasn't long before he begged his parents to throw it outside.

His parents then revealed it had been a prank and the box only contained a small device making ominous hissing noises.
