The truth is out there..... Again!
Running from 1993 to 2002, with over 200 hundred episodes and two movies - 1998's Fight The Future and 2008's I Want To Believe - and during the height of it's popularity, watched by close to 30 million viewers every week, The X-Files was a cultural phenomenon.
Still considered to be one of the best sci-fi/horror TV shows of all time, with the fantastic central relationship played out by cynic and scientifically minded Agent Scully (Gillian Anderson) and conspiracy theorist and dangerously open-minded Agent Mulder (David Duchovny), the show is due to return to the small screen on January 25th 2016.
With less than a month to go before The X-Files are re-opened, show creator Chris Carter, as well as other key cast and crew have sat down to take part in this 20-minute video that gives us a taster of what we can expect from the upcoming six-part miniseries.
Whether you're a fan of the over-arching alien plot, or the individual monster-of-the-week episodes, as well as the show's infamously dark humour ("It had a horn? Like a unicorn?"), it looks like everyone will be catered for when the show arrives early next year.
