Its been nearly two years since Sherlock fans have last gotten their fix of the hit TV show.
When the last episode of the third season of the modern day retelling of Sherlock aired on Feb 2nd 2014, fans probably didn't think they'd have to wait this long to find out what was going on after that story's nail-biting, cliffhanger conclusion.
While we're all immensely happy to see Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman back in the roles of Holmes and Watson, the show isn't picking up where it left off, instead heading back to Victorian times, back to the setting that author Arthur Conan Doyle had originally set the character, to tell the story of The Abominable Bride.
The stars as well as the show's creators discuss in the video below the difficulties of transplanting their very modern take on the character and forcing him back into the era he originally came from.
Sherlock: The Abominable Bride will air on BBC One at 9pm on New Years Day, and is also showing in certain cinemas around the country that same evening.
