A night of music, comedy and Bosco, all for a good cause.

A Night for Ray will see some of the country’s finest acts coming together to raise money for The Bone Marrow for Leukaemia Trust tomorrow night, the 17th of June, at The Sugar Club.

Musical highlights on the night will include Booka Brass Band and Niamh and Podge from Ham SandwicH, both of whom have recently sold out Vicar St. and The Olympia Theatre respectively.

Comedy headliners on the night are the impeccable Foil, Arms and Hog who have been rapidly growing in popularity due to their hilarious sketches.

Kevin McGahern (RTE’s Republic Of Telly) also brings his stand up to the Sugar Club stage.

Also making a very special appearance will be TV legend Bosco, who will be updating the audience on what he/she has been up to, explaining exactly how did the magic door work and also what life was like at the top.

The night has been set up in memory of Raymond Gaffney who passed away from a rare strain of leukaemia in 2014.

Raymond battled his illness for two long years and during this time, he bravely took on the experimental medicines, countless painful bone marrow tests and the cruel uncertainty that comes hand in hand with this disease.

All the money raised on the night will be going to The Bone Marrow for Leukaemia Trust which not only funds research into blood cancers and spreading awareness of the importance of being on the bone marrow register but also into the building and upgrading of apartments near St James’s Hospital that patients and families can stay in post marrow transplants.

That means no matter where they are travelling from they will be able to stay for free and recuperate near the marrow team in James’s with their families.

Tickets for the night are on sale now priced €25 and are available from sugarclubtickets.com.

Doors at 20.00, show starts at 20.30 on Wednesday June 17th at The Sugar Club Dublin.
