A video of the moment a gunman was killed in a restaurant in Blanchardstown remains on the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter.

The graphic video shows a close up of 25-year-old Tristian Sherry lying on the ground covered in blood moments before he died.

Sherry opened fire on a well known West Dublin criminal gang who were in a Blanchardstown restaurant on Christmas Eve.

Gardaí suspect the video was filmed by the attackers and they are warning the public not to share the footage.

The extremely graphic content has been viewed over three hundred thousand times. 

It is understood Gardaí will be making contact with the social media platform and ask them to take it down.
