The Health Minister has signaled Fine Gael may promise to substantially cut the amount people have to pay for prescribed drugs if they get a second term in Government.

Currently a family or individual doesn't get any assistance in the cost until they have paid €144 in any month for drugs and medicines.

But Leo Varadkar says he wants to see that reduced during the next Government, along with free or subsidised primary care for all:
