Mainly dry with sunny spells at first today but scattered showers will develop by afternoon. Isolated thunderstorms are likely to occur later, giving heavy downpours locally, especially in west Munster, Connacht and west Ulster. Patches of sea fog will affect coastal districts also. Highest temperatures 17 to 22 degrees Celsius, warmest inland. Winds light to moderate, between southeast and southwest in direction.
Tonight
Showers will mostly die out early tonight and cloud will tend to break. However, patches of coastal fog are likely to persist. Winds will be mostly light, south to southeast and it will stay rather mild; lowest temperatures 10 to 13 degrees Celsius.
