Jason Corbett's wife and father-in-law have been charged with his death.

31-year-old Molly Martens and her father 65-year-old Thomas Martens were charged with second-degree murder and voluntary manslaughter.

They were indicted by a grand jury in Davidson County, North Carolina.

The 39 year old Limerick man died after an alleged dispute at his home in North Carolina last August.

He had sustained fatal head injuries, police said.

In December of last year, Jason's sister Tracey Lynch was granted custody to his children, returning them to Ireland.

Molly Martens had appealed against this decision, but a judge ruled against her.
