Greece submits proposal to creditors for two-year rescue deal

Eurozone finance ministers are due to reconvene in the morning to discuss the latest Greek government rescue proposal.

Greece submitted a plan to its creditors for a two-year deal - just hours before it is likely to default on a loan repayment to the IMF.

The proposal was announced in a statement released by the office of Greece's Prime Minister Alex Tsipras.

Children under 18 who have been diagnosed with cancer will be issued with a medical cards for five years.

The change will apply automatically from tomorrow, July 1st, according to Fine Gael Senator Colm Burke and TD Mary Mitchell O'Connor.
