The papers cover pretty much every story going on the front pages from Varadkar's warning about the trolley crisis to Garda station closures.

The Irish Times leads with the capital investment plan and the fact that the government are planning to spend €27 billion on investment projects. It also features Leo Varadkar's warning of sacking if the trolley crisis continues.

The Irish Independent goes with that investment plan as well but instead looks at the transport headline from that story.

Meanwhile, the Irish Examiner leads with the announcement that Garda station closures saved the Government €500,000.

The tabloids go with various headlines with everything from The Daily Mirror's image of Peaches Geldof sister comforting her sister's brother to the death of taxi driver John Mulligan who was stabbed to death in Louth.

The pair also discussed the fact that NASA has announced that there is flowing water present on Mars. Is there life on Mars?

Chris raised the story from the Times Irish edition which claimed that 99% of civil servants are exceptional and high-performing.

Ivan discussed the fact that Letterkenny was announced yesterday as Ireland's tidiest town.

The Mirror also have a list of 20 things that have changed in Ireland since the last Papal visit off the back of the announcement that he may be coming to Ireland next year.
