A teenager has been arrested after shots were fired at a house in County Tipperary.

Gardaí said it happened at around 10:30 pm at a house in Mullinahone.

It is understood there were several people in the house at the time; however, no one was injured.

Investigators said they recovered a number of spent cases at the scene.

Armed gardaí joined local forces for a follow-up operation in which a man in his late teens was arrested.

Several licensed guns were seized along with ammunition.

The teenager is being held at Clonmel Garda Station under the Offences against the State Act.
