Thought you've got away with not returning those video tapes you rented years ago? Well don't celebrate just yet.
A woman recently spent a night in prison for failing to return a copy of Monster-in-Law rented in 2005.
Kayla Michelle Finley was arrested in Pickens County, South Carolina on Thursday - and faced a misdemeanour charge for keeping hold of the widely-slated Jane Fonda/Jennifer Lopez flick.
According to WYFF-TV, the owner of the now-closed Dalton Videos had asked a judge to issue an arrest warrant for Finley. The warrant was forgotten until recently, when Finley happened to make a visit to the county sheriff's office.
Because a bond hearing could not me held until the next day, Finley was kept overnight in a cell, before being freed by a judge the next day.
Finley took to social media to explain she had moved out of state and had simple forgotten the tape, saying she is "no criminal."
