A man has been shot in the leg in an incident in Co. Kildare the early hours of this morning.
It occurred in Piercetown, Newbridge, area between 4am and 5am.
The man, who is in his early twenties, sustained injuries to one leg and is being treated at Naas General Hospital.

Gardai say his injuries are not life threatening.
An appeal for witnesses has been launched.
