A man has again appeared in court charged in connection with the death of Dublin man Kenneth O'Brien whose torso was found in the canal in Co Kildare last month.
Family and friends of Kenneth O’Brien were at Cloverhill District Court for this brief five minute hearing this morning.
The remains of the father-of-one were found in a suitcase in the Grand Canal in Kildare last month
Further remains were discovered in follow-up searches in the water in Sallins.
48-year-old Paul Wells from Barnamore Park in Finglas has been charged with Kenneth’s murder.
Garda Sergeant Gerard Moore told the judge that bail ‘was not an option’ in the district court - as it can only be dealt with at the High Court.
Paul Wells was further remanded in custody and he is due back in court on the 16th March.
