Police in the North have arrested a man (55) in connection with a house fire in north Belfast.

PSNI officers say it is understood the blaze was deliberately started inside the property in Glencairn Crescent at around 6.30pm yesterday evening.

The house, which was empty at the time of the fire, was completely gutted.

Detectives are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.
