The Transport Minister Paschal Donohoe says the gardaí and Luas operators are taking seriously an incident involving a boy clinging to a moving tram.

Pictures have been shared on social media of the boy engaged in a practice called 'scutting' the Luas.

It shows him sitting on the rear windscreen wiper of a moving tram.

It is reported that the boy's parents have been contacted.

Minister Donohoe responded to the incident.
