Luas engineers are not yet sure when Green Line services will resume amid an ongoing power failure.
Following Storm Bram, services were briefly disrupted on the Red Line; however, restoring power to the Green Line has proved to be a more complex task.
On Newstalk Breakfast, Transdev spokesperson Dervla Brophy apologised to all Luas customers for the disruption.
“It was the same situation yesterday where we lost the whole of the Green Line and part of the Red Line,” she explained.
“So, what we have identified is that there is an issue with the 48-volt system, which is not actually the overhead power line.
“It's a safety circuit that controls power from the substations to the control room and it's designed to shut down power to the overhead lines in an emergency.
“And the system is detecting an emergency at the moment and. for safety reasons, will not permit us to power back up the line.”

“Regretfully - and I mean regretfully - we're not in a position to say this morning when the Luas Green Line service will be restored,” she said.
“I can say that we had technicians all day yesterday, all last night, again today, working on it.
“We've gone through 12 substations on the Luas Red Line.”
Ms Brophy promised that Transdev would keep customers informed.
“The Luas will update the media, traffic and travel updates,” she said.
“We will also be updating on the Luas website and the app, Luas social media channels, Luas customer care 0818 300 604.
“This will be in real time throughout the day.”
Anyone who has already bought a Luas ticket can use them on Dublin Bus services, but not on the Dart.
