A woman's body has been recovered from the sea off the Cliffs of Moher in Co. Clare.

It's believed her body was spotted in the water by a ferry and was recovered at around 5 o'clock yesterday evening.

It was removed from the scene and taken to University Hospital Limerick.

Gardai say investigations are ongoing.
