The HSE has confirmed that a number of people were able to see one person's application for GP care for under 6's because of a website glitch last night.

The website was shut down for a number of hours overnight after a small number of people were able to view the individual's application.

The Office of the Data Protection Commissioner has been notified - the HSE says the issue has now been rectified and the website is up and running since 7am this morning.

It's apologised to the families concerned.

Speaking to Lunchtime today, the Junior Health Minister Kathleen Lynch says she has yet to see the full details of what happened - but the problem has now been fixed:
