Glenn Frey, guitarist and founding member of legendary rock band The Eagles, has died aged 67.
He died in New York City earlier today from complications arising from rheumatoid arthritis, colitis and pneumonia.
The band, which originally played from 1971 to 1980, then reforming in 1994 to present, are well known for their hits including "Take It Easy", "Hotel California", "New Kid In Town" and "Take It To The Limit".
Frey had also released five solo albums, and was due to take the stage with The Eagles at the Kennedy Centre, but his health issues in December forced them to pull their performance.
