Sinn Fein have proposed, once again, that the Special Criminal Court should be abolished.
In response, former Minister for Justice Dermot Ahern, on the Right Hook this evening, defended the court, saying we don't live in a 'normal society' where we 'could rely on the ordinary courts'.
He also refuted any suggestions from anyone, including Sinn Fein leader Gerry Adams, that there is no underworld.
Also, when asked about coalition possibilites for after the General Election, and the chance of Fianna Fáil supporting a Fine Gael lead government, his response was 'never say never'.
