Gardaí are investigating an armed robbery at a supermarket in County Meath yesterday evening.
A masked man in his late 20s or early 30s carrying a firearm entered the shop on Fairyhouse Road in Ratoath at around 7.20pm.
He threatened and assaulted staff before leaving with an amount of cash. He is said to have fled in the direction of Riverwalk, a pedestrian area opposite the shop.One male staff member suffered minor injuries during the incident.

The man is described as 5'11" in height and of strong build.
He was wearing a beetroot-coloured hoodie, blue jeans, white socks and white runners and was carrying a green plastic bag. He had a black mask covering his face during the incident.
