American photographer Ty Foster, known for creating series of portraits of dogs (and also cats), has produced a collection of pooches looking rather miserable in their veterinarian collars – more familiarly known as the ‘cone of shame’.
The images, collected below, capture the sadness and awkwardness of man’s best friend. Writing on his website, Foster says: 'From a dog's perspective the cone falls into 'items that should be banished to the depths of hell' category. Along with the vacuum, going to the vet, and the mailman.
'The cone is the only torture that lasts for a prolonged period, making a normal life infuriating and just downright embarrassing.
'Time Out is a series about those hardships that are associated with the cone of shame emotionally and physically.'
