Four men are due before Gorey District Court after they were arrested in Wexford yesterday.

The four men - aged in their early 20s and 30s - were arrested as part of Operation Thor in Bunclody after they failed to stop their van for gardaí.

The van was abandoned a short distance away and the occupants fled on foot.

They were arrested shortly after and a number of items including a hammer and gloves were found hidden in the van.

A minor who was detained along with the men has since been released without charge. A file on him will be forwarded to the Juvenile Liaison Office.

The four men are due before Gorey District Court this morning.
