A man has been found dead on a beach in Co Clare.
His body was found on Kilmacrehy Beach in Liscannor on Friday morning.
The beach is between the Cliffs of Moher to the north and Spanish Point to the south.
Garda Commissioner Drew Harris and Justice Minister Charlie Flanagan have met former Garda Majella Moynihan.
Commissioner Harris said he offered her "a fulsome apology" on behalf of An Garda Síochána.
Following the meeting on Thursday, he said: "I was pleased to meet Ms Moynihan... and offer her a fulsome apology in person on behalf of An Garda Síochána."

The action has been taken against Conservative MP Mark Field after a video of him pushing the woman against a pillar and grabbing her by the back of the neck was shared online.
The woman was one of 40 Greenpeace protesters who had gatecrashed a blacktie dinner ahead of speeches by the UK Chancellor Philip Hammond and Bank of England Governor Mark Carney.
