British Police have confirmed two children found murdered with their mother near Leeds had been stabbed.

The bodies of six-year-old Shane Newman and his eleven-year-old-sister Shannon were discovered at their home in Allerton Bywater yesterday.

Their mother Geraldine is reported to have died from head injuries.

Detectives are investigating whether the body of a man found on cliffs in north Wales is linked to their murders.
