A crew member - injured during severe weather conditions- has been airlifted from a fishing vessel off the Cork coast.

It happened around 220km south-to-south-west off Mizen Head.

The Irish Coast Guard coordinated the operation after a request from the UK Coast Guard of a Spanish national from a UK registered fishing vessel.
