The Government is being called upon to purchase the entire Moore Street terrace in Dublin to save the site from destruction.
Yesterday a group of protesters said they would occupy a building on the city centre street for as long as it takes.
They have stopped restoration work on the site which was central to the 1916 Rising, calling for the whole building to be preserved.
Politicians including Gerry Adams, Mary Lou McDonald and Richard Boyd Barrett are among those who have attended the ongoing Moore Street protest to pledge their support.
People Before Profit Councillor John Lyons says the Government need to take immediate action.
"We have a shambolic situation where a national monument in under threat of partial destruction," he said, adding that the current Government have an opportunity to "step up to the plate".
