A man has been detained in the North, following an attack that has left a mother-of-two fighting for her life.
The 26-year-old was attacked at a house on the Ashgrove Road in north Belfast on Wednesday night.
The PSNI launched an appeal to find 33-year-old Stephen McFarlane, and the Audi A6 car he was driving.

He has now been detained in the Newtownards Road area of Belfast.
