Five men and a woman have been arrested in the South East, as part of Operation Thor.

It followed a number of planned searches in Portlaoise, Kilkenny and Waterford this morning.

The operation was conducted as part of investigations into recent burglaries in the region and to combat organised criminal activity.

An amount of property, which is believed to have been stolen, was seized during the searches.
