Solutions for over 120 AIB mortgage holders in arrears have been agreed as a result of an intiative involving the Irish Mortgage Holders Organisation and the bank.

Over 1,000 mortgage holders received information packs explaining procedures for dealing with arrears and giving an action plan for the borrower.

So far, 123 long term sustainable solutions have been fully agreed, with others at various stags of the resolution process.

And an extra 12 customers had previously been offered a mortgage solution by AIB, before the initiative with the IMHO kicked in.
