An investigation's been launched into an attempted breach of the Gardaí's IT systems.
A zero day malware threat was identified last Thursday on one of the force's facilities.
In a statement Gardaí say once the attempted breach was identified they enforced standard protocols across all of their systems.

They're moving to reassure members of the public that no data has been accessed.
