The sister of a Limerick man who was killed in the US earlier this year says she is relieved that an appeal over the custody of her niece and nephew went in her family's favour yesterday.
Jason Corbett (39) died during a "domestic incident" at his home in North Carolina on August 2nd.
His wife, Molly Martens, and her father are described as "persons of interest" in his death.
In August, a US judge ruled that Jason's children - Ms Marten's step children - should return to Ireland in the care of Jason's family.
Ms Martens appealed this decision but a judge ruled against her yesterday.
Jason's sister Tracey Lynch says her family are not celebrating:
"We have to return to Christmas spirit and festive cheer and put on a brave face and smile".
