To mark the anniversary of the release of her critically-acclaimed album 'Lemonade' Beyoncé is offering four scholarships to female students in the United States.
The announcement reads:
"To add to the celebration of the one-year anniversary of 'Lemonade', Beyoncé-Knowles Carter announces the establishment of Formation Scholars awards for the 2017-2016 academic year, to encourage and support young women who are unafraid to think outside the box and are bold, creative, conscious and confident."
Four scholarships will be awarded to incoming female students enrolling in creative arts, music, literature or African-American studies.
The colleges listed include Berklee College of Music, Howard University, Parsons School of Design and Spelman College.

In September, the University of Texas at San Antonio began offering a class on Beyoncé’s 'Lemonade'.
The class, called 'Black Women, Beyoncé, and Popular Culture' “explores the theoretical, historical, and literary frameworks of black feminism” featured prominently in Queen Bey’s 55-minute avant-garde film.
Developed by Professor Kinitra Brooks, the class meets three times a week and is organised around different themes that appear in Queen B's visual album, according to the syllabus.
In 2014, Rutgers University also offered a class centred on the former Destiny's Child member - called 'Politicizing Beyoncé' in 2014.
