Ireland coach Joe Schmidt admitted he had a selection dilemma in the second-row ahead of the final match of the 6 Nations against England in Twickenham this weekend.

The New Zealander eventually opted to pair Iain Henderson and James Ryan together with Devin Toner starting off the bench.

Asked by Off the Ball's Oisin Langan if it was a risk bringing Henderson back into the starting line-up, the Irish coach said: "I would say the risk goes the other way. Dev has called our line-out for a long time and if you're chasing the game you definitely need your line-out ball and that's a great thing for Dev to come on and provide for us.

"In this equivalent fixture last year - Dev came off the bench for us and he finished off the game really strongly for us.

"So, there's always risks and it's about managing them and calculating what's the lesser risk and also, what's the greater opportunity and we'd probably err toward the greater opportunity  - we want to keep giving people opportunity," he added.

Ireland are looking extend their winning streak to 12 wins-in-a-row whilst recording only a third ever Grand Slam should they emerge victorious on Saturday.
