Zinedine Zidane has also said that Gareth Bale will remain a key player for the club, despite the Welsh player expressing his disappointment with Rafa Benitez's sacking.

The new Real Madrid manager replaced Benitez yesterday and set about discussing his plans with the media today.

Bale was reported to be devastated by recent events and could consider his future especially when it comes to his role centrally on the pitch according to some reports.

But Zidane has moved to allay any fears, also suggesting that he would continue to play Cristiano Ronaldo, Bale and Karim Benzema together in the attack.

"He is a fundamental player for the team, playing really well lately," said Zidane of Bale.

"I cannot say anything other than that -- he will get all my support to play well."
