Wolves defender Richard Stearman has revealed that he's close to becoming eligable to play for the Republic of Ireland.
The 25-year-old former England Under-21 international qualifies to play for Ireland through his maternal grandparents and has confirmed that he is in the process of gaining Irish citizenship.
Stearman can operate at either centre half or right back and is currently being linked with a move to Ipswich where he would be re-united with former manager Mick McCarthy.
