Marcos Baghdatis is a force to be reckoned with. He leads the cast of Wimbledon wild card entries for the upcoming tournament. The Cypriot reached the finals of the Australian Open in 2006 as an unseeded player and lost to Roger Federer 5–7, 7–5, 6–0, 6–2 and is currently ranked 115th in the world and gets another chance at a Grand Slam title this upcoming week.
British hopes Daniel Evans, James Ward, and Kyle Edmund also received wild card entries. Evans is currently ranked 144th and Ward is ranked 155th. British teenager Edmund received a wild card entry for the second year running and is currently ranked 284th. Edmund reached the boys’ quarter-finals last year at Wimbledon and now gets the chance to show the world his talent in the men’s singles tournament.
