Speaking on this morning’s OTB AM. Davies believes that Joshua will be more technically sound in his approach. If the shorter 6”4 Parker doesn’t get beneath Joshua’s jab.

“I think we will see a more cultured Anthony Joshua. I still think he’s going to be the punching beast that he always is but he’s talking about being more cultured. That will happen, I think. If Joseph Parker doesn’t get under his jab, and land some combinations.”

The Englishman heads into the bout as a heavy favorite on Saturday evening. Davies says the New Zealander’s tactics can spur Joshua on to exchanging more with his opponent. Davies believes the more frequently Parker can land quick strikes in the pocket. it will force Joshua to engage more often.

“Parker, who is smaller, faster and can get in and out. If he can land combinations; I think Anthony Joshua will engage with him more,' said Davies.
