A newly minted star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame cemented Will Ferrell's career yesterday, making him the 2,547th name to don the iconic sidewalk.
Proud Ferrell, 47, brought his three sons to celebrate the occasion, asking them to parade around the star to show everyone how "they looked like a million bucks." When directing the boys, he said "Just take a little lap, don't step on the star!"

Comedians Molly Shannon and John C. Reilly attended the event, where the gushing Ferrell said: "I not only accept it, but I will be here every day from 3 to 5 p.m. polishing the star. You can count on that. And on those days that John's in the neighborhood, he will help me as well."
Ferrell initially started out as a comedian, joining the sketch comedy troupe The Groundlings in the early 1990s before securing a seven-year tenure on Saturday Night Live.
Ferrell is well-known for his roles in some of the most popular comedies from the last 20 years, including the Austin Powers franchise, Anchorman, Dodgeball and more recently in The Campaign.
